I have mixed emotions on this New Years Day. While I am excited and Happy to see what the new year will bring. And I feel blessed to have such an amazing family and so many great friends, it is also a sad day for me. Today my mom would have turned 71. She was a New Years baby and today was always a day of celebration. Mom was sober for the last 20 or so years of her life, but there was a time that New Year Day meant mom would be getting out the blender, (I think it was the only day of the year it ever got used), and making birthday margaritas. So if you are going to have a drink today, have a margarita for my mom. I miss her so much. Love you Mom.
