I have much for which to be thankful on this day of Thanksgiving. Most of all, though, is that my six-year quest to change the law in Kansas to end insurance coverage discrimination against children born with Autism was finally successful this past Spring. There is no success greater than one that helps others, and not oneself, either directly or indirectly. Thank you, Kansas Legislature and Governor Sam Brownback, for finally seeing the wisdom of my dream. And grateful thanks to the others who fought by my side on behalf of these innocent children, and to those who will carry on after me, as the doctor described in this terrific article. 💙
