I have never been one to be big on New Years resolutions but this year I am making one for the first time in God knows how many years. My resolution is to rescue more furbabies than we did this year, to have more patience and compassion, and to continue to give more than I receive. With the state of the world today, I think mankind all needs to do this. There is way too much hate, bigotry, selfishness and we all are in such a downward spiral. Hug and be incredibly grateful for your loved ones tonight... be it 2 legged or 4 legged... and dont take anything for granted. Instead of wondering how YOU can get the next biggest and best thing... give a helping hand to someone else. When you are raising your glasses to bring in the New Year tonight, say a prayer for the homeless and sick... for the strays and injured... because there are so many that have it so much worse than you could ever imagine. There is no better gift than to do something good for someone else. Have a very safe and Happy New Year and lets ALL put in the effort to make 2015 a good (or at least better) year.
