I have never met Mark Schauer, I am sure he is a good competent gentleman. However, I am voting for Rick Snyder and here are few reasons why…. HE HAS NOT CUT EDUCATION SPENDING! Per-pupil spending has increased by $660 since 2010 when he took office. The venom spewing M.E.A. has started these lies because they are madder than a nest of hornets over losing the Michigan Right to work battle. (why would you vote for a candidate who condones lies on his behalf as Schauer has done?) Snyder pushed through the elimination of the single business tax which helped small businesses stay here in Michigan and secured future job growth. Since he took office in 2010. 200,000 plus jobs have been added in Michigan.(Not all because of him, however it shows we are heading in the right direction with his policies) His administration has expanded Meals on Wheels and in-home programs for seniors Snyder supported a pension tax in 2011, which was needed as a matter of fairness (it’s income, why should it be exempt from tax?) it has helped balance state budgets into the future. Bond rating agencies have improved their outlooks for Michigan debt, and the states Rainy Day Fund savings account, drained nearly to zero when he took office is now close to 600 million. Canada is shouldering virtually the entire cost of the new bridge—estimated at more than $500-million dollars. Michigan residents would not be on the hook for the project. The jobs it will create with the coming years of revenue is a huge benefit for the citizens of Michigan. He led the city of Detroit through a bankruptcy that is looking more and more favorable every day. Developers and small businesses are coming back. All of these things are why as a small business owner, I am voting for Rick Snyder. He is helping Michigan comeback. Let’s let him finish the job. I hope when you look at the facts you will do the same. GET OUT AND VOTE TUESDAY!!! If you abstain don’t complain.
