I have never seen a rattlesnake den before. I do not regard the person who did the photography as having done a good job, probably doing this with a damn cell-phone camera! Hope he or she or they wore high thick boots! Snakes in general migrate around in circles in search of food, taking several weeks to circle out and around, always returning to their den. They usually have a set pattern of travel. I do not know why there are so many snakes in this den, there must be an extraordinarily great proliferation of mice and rats and large insects, their typical food. -- Libris Fidelis
