I have no dog in this common core thing, as I have no kids still of the school age.....I know LESS than nothing about common core, the pros or the cons, its why I have not opined on common core....however, these children are our future....and the future ALREADY looks bleak with the huge majority of young folk entering the workforce with the asinine notions that they should be able to START OFF with what their parents have NOW, and that they should be able to get that first starter job at McDonalds and it is supposed to support them once they are on their own. That said, my neutrality on common core aside, I DO feel that when an opinion comes forth based upon actual training and experiences and not just from a disgruntled, politically biased parent who hates progress, change of any kind and the other side of the political arena, that opinion is worth considering. Unlike so many opinions Ive seen based in pure confirmation bias, this one seems worth giving a read if you are a parent with young children.
