I have no guilt about celebrating life while I also fight for justice. Lesson to some of my younger comrades: You cannot allow this system of white supremacy to take away your joy. You will have down times, you will question everything, you will feel guilty for having the material things that some others dont have, you will continually question yourself and ask if you are doing enough. All I can offer is that if you are a long distance revolutionary you must try and find balance. If you are committed to this life long struggle for justice, it is okay to have happiness. The last thing we need is sullen people who bring that energy to the forefront and in many ways turn off folks from wanting to be part of said movement.
