I have no regrets But if I allowed myself one regret, it would be wishing I had treated every woman in my life differently Wishing I had told her how beautiful she is far more often Wishing I had told her she was a goddess Wishing I had been able to show her the magic and mystery and wonder of our lives One time, many moons ago, I made love to a woman and she cried out, “You’re a god!” We had both just had a divine experience after all, and even so I said, “No, I’m just a funky human being.” If I allowed myself one regret, it would have been that moment. I wish I would have called out, passionately, “You’re a goddess!” And I wish I would have relaxed and stayed in the arms of a goddess, completely content with the wonder of what is, for a long, long while, maybe for a lifetime or more….
