I have no time for men who hurt their wives. Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. The hard thing is, to see watch someone you care about go through the cycle - again and again. Because, unfortunately in most cases, until they realise that they MUST stand up for themselves, nothing much changes. Its like groundhog day over and over and over again. I know. Because I was there quite a few years ago, now. On the receiving end of that cycle. For years, I believed that my ex would change. That he would go back to how he used to be. It wasnt until I truly realised that he could actually do some serious harm (if not worse) to myself and my daughter that I finally took the stand. And let me tell you, that was fricking hard. And now, to see someone go through a similar cycle is hard. But you cant save them. I cant save her. All you can do, is be there. Be patient. Listen. And hope that they come to their senses and see whats going on. And, be there to pick up the pieces. Im so grateful for my family and my friends for standing by me back then. Without them, I probably wouldve gone back...and then...who knows? So keep your eyes out. Keep your ears out. If you think that someone is in a similar situation, support them. Dont judge them. Just be there. They need you more than you know...and more than they realise. xoxoxo Mwah xooxox
