I have not been on FB. We are tired and discouraged occasionally. Dont EVEN talk to me about putting my elderly dependent parents in a nursing home. We have had them for only three years. They covered my head for 16yrs!! It seems nursing homes are most peoples situation to the occasional exhaustion we feel. My mother and father never considered giving me up for adoption, and this is NO different. This is no different than having a disabled child. I am not angry or frustrated with well meant suggestions - but we probably know more about that option and what it takes to pursue it, than some. We have RNs, social workers, CNAs, physical therapist, chaplains, senior center volunteers, medical equipment vans and hospice personnel running in and out with more information and education made available to us than you can imagine. Privacy is a thing of the past, and thats ok. After having six children and all the grandchildren, I imagine my parents never enjoyed another moments privacy for the rest of their sane years!! LOL oh that was funny-LOL. I sit down to write this having no idea what I would say!! I just started with the first sentence and stuff poured out that I havent really even realized myself!! How funny is that? In some strange way, God just gave me the answers to some of my questions, Why, Lord, WHY do you command us to honor our father and our mother???? Its so damn HARD sometimes!!! And in His Mercy and His awesome Grace - He spoke to me.......... Yes, I cussed. I did, I cussed. Jesus is perfect, I am not. I could erase it but that would be a lie. Thats how I prayed it, and thats how He heard it. But Im working on it! LOL Be blessed folks. Suddenly I feel blessed. Thanks for letting me share.
