I have not read the book, but this article is clear proof that a senior executive can be made the scape goat and the aggrieved parents of so many students could only vent their frustration in this pathetic fashion. Both the police and legal system just needed an arrest to pacify aggrieved persons. Was justice rendered in the end? and at what cost? I wonder whether the parents would have resorted to this if Chetan was their kid? How can an individual be responsible for a Companies failure to delver ,especially if he is only an executive. One month in Jail -- mental pressure his family had to undergo and now the stigma attached to his LIFE and that of his kids - a heavy price to pay in the end for some stupid salary and fancy corporate designation. Chetan, you may have been targeted by life for your values and ideologies - to test and refine you for greater things to come either in this life or the next. It is great that the value of family comes to the forefront. Family bonding is giving way to false sense of status and power. End of the day every one will pay for their deeds. The question Chetan can ask is 1. WHY ME? 2. WHAT NEXT? and how do I ensure that this does not repeat to another innocent individual trying to make it big in the corporate world. 3. How to fight corruption at all levels? 4. How to bring the corrupt to book? They deserve this punishment. 5. How to reform the system for quicker relief? 6. How the system delays can take away the spark in a persons life and be the cause for pessimism and retaliation. After all both the Police and Legal Bodies rely on the tax payers money. So why should a tax payer be put through hell. many more things come to mind ...but THINK GUYS THINK! Just because it was not you in the hot seat -- doesnt mean that persons like CHETAN are guilty. It could be any one anytime - I can empathize with him. Justice should be speedy and Systems should be accountable and meaningful for the overall good of everyone. Misuse of Power and Position should be brought to book. Chetan try and put your thoughts on how things should be in your perspective if you write another book. Be BOLD.
