I have not seen any tangible #Change happen without at least, a friction. As in, A Struggle. Little recourse to history: It was a Students struggle of 1918 that remarkably evolved the template for Democratization and Modernization of the entire Latin America. Todays China owes profound gratitude to students struggle of 1919. Lets come home. The West African Students Union WASU struggles was major driving force that culminated in eventual end of colonial imperialism and market fundamentalism. Students and Youths struggle were instrumental in drastic reduction and erasure of the Apartheid system in South Africa, xenophobia oppressions and autocracy in most of African countries. In Nigeria, the Nigerian Youths Movement (NYM) was a major force that interacted with activities of the Nationalists, to ultimately bring about Nigerias Independence. But today, the case is reversing. We want #change without struggle. But we must know that oppressors do not give freedom, voluntarily. Freedom is not found on the platter of gold. Freedom is not free, even in Freetown! According to Karl Marx, #Change is the outcome of interaction between two forces; *Thesis Versus Antithesis = Synthesis I.e. *The Force of Oppression Versus the Force of Resistance = New Societal Equilibrium But in any case, if our Youths are not ready for the drastic change through struggles, (which is impossible in the long run), a mild way is through the #Ballots -if votes are not for sale. Heres a formula for that: #Register #Select #Vote #Protect = RSVP. But the Youths must not only be voters, they must go in and contest. Otherwise, they allow aged septagenarians and octogenarians eat their rights. Prepare yourselves for the change, 2015 is just tomorrow. No time to check time. #RSVP.
