I have noticed a trend so i thought i would add a Feel Free Nutrition point of view. As the nutrition and fitness industry seems to grow in popularity there is an increasing number of fitness professionals on social media. I have observed a huge variety of nutrition ideologies with some even claiming to being finite. These obvious contradictions and trends seem to cover every field and are topics I have mentioned before. My main focus is from this message is to highlight whats seems to be science VS bro-science epidemic (hoping Im not using too strong a word) . Being originally a sub culture the bodybuilding world relied on a lot of self experimentation and propaganda, this is where bro-science was born. As bodybuilding regimes, techniques and diets have become more commercially used some of these have fallen into the hands of intellectuals, scientists and highly qualified nutrition and fitness experts who have rightly debunk miss information and pseudo-science that is alive within bodybuilding. My issue with the bro-science the pendulum has swung the other way by the intellectually world to stomp out the ignorance and naivety, the issue I would like to highlight is the grey area which I believe to be the most beneficial is the experience and intuitive knowledge without scientific study or reference. I am a fan of science I have a science degree but i also would like to say that bro-science might not be solely ignorance. I think the one thing to remember by nature we are all scientists.... our brains are naturally pattern seeking and looking to unfold correlations within the feedback it receives from the senses. It is not information without study which should be held in court nor should science hang its confidence solely on studies done in the past. Within a study there are hundreds of other studies that could be done just by changing one slight variable. What we should stamp out as professionals, fitness enthusiasts and people interested in nutrition is definite, absolute, hierarchy, expectation, judgment and status driven knowledge. I believe scientific arrogance to the point where information outside of study is ignored is just as bad as bro-science being passed on because my mate is big. I feel by naturally being skeptical and open minded using studies as your staple diet but your experience and your personal observations and feelings (senses) as the creative clothing - we can then truly express individual creative knowledge were our physique, rewards and performance can be a true indication of who you are not just a reflection of what big Mikey or a guy in a lab coat can tell you :) Adams observations
