I have noticed how all political parties have stated lately how we in Britain must bite the bullet since the debt accumulated because of the banks mismanagement, or as the money people call a downturn. This state of affairs is worldwide as all countries have to face up to the stark reality. Job cuts, pay cuts and freezes throughout nearly every type of work force within the lands. The aged and the handicapped and the unemployed, who are being demonized as scroungers, are having their benefits attacked with the excuse of saving money while the cost of this administration stays in the dark. In every area of society is affected by these drastic decision and they may be needed for I am no expert, however there seems to be one group who are certainly not in the equations and this is politicians, M.P.s, M.S.P.s ; Local Councillors, whose pay, privileges are in no danger while the rest of the communities struggle with sometimes seemingly cruel cuts. A bug bearer of mine is the out of date need for second homes and the abuse from political persons to bleed the public purse under the guise of ‘They make the rules so it’s lawful. Why don’t they lead the country in saving money by halting the antiquarian rule od second homes, have a cut and wage freeze and have a independent authority to revise their expenses A grumpy old man
