I have noticed that a lot of people have no brains to figure out the job a political party and politician in power. They praise them when they build roads, build them schools and hospitals without realising that they paid taxes for that and they pay these politicians lots of money in salaries and allowances. Its like a parent who wants to be praised for buying his own kid a shoe or a bike. If its not his obligation whose is it? Most people seem to forget that these politicians were elected - employed - to serve the people but why do you praise them for doing the job you pay them millions for? Or is it because in Africa we are used to seeing politicians do nothing but rob government coffers and resources and in the end enrich themselves? Just look at them how poor they are when they get into power and how filthy rich they come out. Does their pay match up with the wealth they acquire? Some even bury money in their farms. Praise a politician when one reduces poverty to the barest minimum, grow the economy so that its even felt in the streets, appreciate the Kwacha to what it was in the 90s against the dollar, make education free in primary and secondary, eliminate Zambia from the 3rd world class.
