I have noticed that the supporters of Buhari appear to be the most - TopicsExpress

I have noticed that the supporters of Buhari appear to be the most intolerant, angry, dictatorial and with tendecies of violence. I do not know why this is so. I do not understand why it is such a coincidence that a candidate is mostly attracted or supported by an overwhelming numbers of violent people. Their wildness of fanaticism knows no bound, even on the internet, they are digital thugs, just a handful display no malevolence. This was the case in 2011, when Buhari lost the elections, his supporters who chiefly are of the expertise of bloodbath, went volcanic lynching those of difference. Why is this so? Is it merely a coincidence? I think you can tell a lot about a candidate by the type of supporters that are attracted to him. What I find very common about the Generals supporters are that, they are those who are not concerned about human rights abuse. Because, no matter how much you sight instances of Buharis history of human rights abuse whose victims include the legendary prophet of the Yoruba extraction in afro-beat, Fela Kuti, Ambrose Ali, even Awolowo and many more were not spared from the witchcraft of his junta. A number of journalists were victimized and hounded, plus the herdsmen, horse-whipping attitude of his footsoldeirs in his junta days. None of these is a problem to his supporters. So it is fair to say, there are mostly people not moved by abuse and injustice. Also, citing self-confessions of violence on the part of the General like the famous line ..the Dogs and Baboons will bleed come 2015.. And the 2011 bloodbath unleashed on the innocent as a result of Buharis loss at the polls which was not far from his clarion call for brutality, is not anything to find disturbing by his supporters. As such one could not be suprised to note why most of supporters are those who readily show malevolent tendecies. And finally, if you do not support Buhari, you are a punching bag in the lips of Buhari fans. It is only the supporters of Buhari that label both GEJ supporters and non-supporters of a political party as birds of a feather. To them, if you do not support Buhari, you are definitely supporting GEJ whether or not you say you do not support GEJ and find his administration clueless and hopeless. Why is such a mentality of we versus them mostly found in those supporting Buhari? Is Buhari so difficult to market, such that violence and verbal paranoia of attacks are the best way to go about his campaigns?
