I have officially quite blogging. Ive really limited it in the past few months, because of the flavor of the blogs I work for, but three days ago was the final straw. You see, I can be in a good mood, but when I write two or three stories about the ugliest, nastiest aspects of the human race, I get borderline suicidal. Two days ago, I was about to write, and I was viewing the articles my colleagues had written so that I wouldnt dupe their stories, and I read a story and watched a video of some big black woman attacking a skinny little white woman in a park, and beating her profusely, as a dozen people watched and simply recorded it on their cell phones. No one attempted to call the police, or help the girl being beaten, except one person- the victims three year old toddler, who was crying and screaming while watching his mother get nearly beaten to death. The little boy was kicking and punching the attacker, who looked to weigh more than 200 pounds, while everyone else just watched, and while some of them cheered. I will never work in media again. I can promise you that. I will NOT take part in continuing to spread hate, fear, lies and tragedy. Society has enough of those ugly, hideous things without my help making it worse. I will continue to write fiction and fight for veterans causes. I may still publish such work on Yahoo, but I am completely finished blogging. I enjoyed the people I worked with and my bosses always gave me a fair shake. Im happy to remain friends with all of them. I just cant do it anymore. ~Kevin
