I have often spoken about my concern about people who photograph naked pictures of younger children (or even older children if they are pressurised into it) because Im concerned that the children have not given their informed consent. Most people dont see the problem with this, yet when a young person takes a naked picture of themselves by their own choice they get in trouble for it. I know that many people disagree with me on the issue of whether younger children should be photographed naked but it is a perfect example of how children are seen as property in that its ok if a child is photographed naked as long as its the parents or caregivers taking the pictures but if the child does it of their own volition then they get into trouble. In this case this boy is in trouble because he took pictures of his body, yet its seen as ok when a police officer does the same to him without consent
