I have one of these and I have bought one or two for presents in the past. I am now seriously worried about my use of it and the possible effect on my health. The product encourages you to use Credit Card plastic for picks yet if you do this and you are a vigorous rhythm player, you will soon find your guitar covered in dust from the pick as it wears down. Combine this with singing whilst playing (I am thinking of home use predominately) you can imagine the possible inhalation of credit card plastic dust into the lungs. If you look up credit cards and carcinogens you will find that there is indeed one in there Vinyl chloride. The product encourages you to use any waste plastic for your picks which to my mind means that at any one time, if the plastic creates dust, you have no idea of what cocktail of chemicals you are inhaling are and if they are dangerous or not. My favorite picks are large triangular 1960s Herco Ghastly Green Flexyon Nylon Series which they dont make anymore and I have around six left, I play all of my gigs using them but for rehearsing on Acoustic Guitar I have been using punched picks. I thought this product (and the many other versions of it) was a great idea originally, not so sure now.
