I have posted many things about domestic violence and awareness and more often than not its over looked. Im asking each of you, from someone who has been on this side of it, as someone with children who have witnessed first hand, to share this video and spread awareness. Whether you realize it or not, most of you, if not all of you, know someone who is dealing or has dealt with Domestic Abuse. Most women and children dont ask for help. Out of fear out of shame out of guilt. There are so many reasons. And most of us dont ask questions when we suspect somethings wrong out of fear of stepping on Toes or offending someone. Ask questions. Get involved. Nobody is exempt from DV. It can happen to someone at church at work at school on TV. The NBA the NFL. Its not black or white but multiracial. Its not young or old. Its not even brand new. People can be abused more than once in their lifetime and by more than one person. The fault isnt in the victim but in those who abuse. We teach our women and girls how not to be raped or abused vs teaching our men and boys to not rape and abuse. Share this video so that those you love will see that youre someone they can turn to in a moment of fear and desperation. This is NOT a repost. This is my experience. My life. My childrens lives. Sometimes all it takes it one tiny light in the dark to turn a hopeless end Into endless Hope.
