I have posted this elsewhere previously, and thought I would share this on here as well. It has been quite some time since I have shared anything or acquired a new piece. I recently got lucky enough to purchase a grail of mine from a private collector. A long time in the works, I want to thank Mike Linnemann and Donato Giancola, along with Nick Detwiler and Greg Fenton for assisting me with framing this across the country. It is currently making its way to be reframed and then will arrive to a new home here with me in the coming weeks, but I was too excited not to share. This is one of the first cards that made me really focus in the art of the card. Sure, I noticed art and appreciated it before, but something about it just made me place the art before the card itself. The first time I saw it was at the judgment prerelease, I think I was about 16 or so at the time. Owning originals never occurred to me back then, and needless to say I didnt have the financial means to make something like that happen regardless (nor was it a priority). The card was always special to me. Maybe because it looked good in foil. Maybe because it was the first card in Hebrew and I was focused on the art instead of the text. I dont know why, but it always had a feeling of something special about it. After a journey that began years ago, and took years to find an end, my first Donato piece is finally on its way. Not the most playable card, nor the most well known, but something very special to me - and the new pride of my collection.
