I have posted this song each year I have been on FB but this year it is of special significance as 4 FB friends have passed away. Bob Gibson a proud York Street man, a merchant seaman for most of his life and a world class boxing referee and a man I was very pleased to call my friend. Good night Bob. R.I.P. Shona McFarland, a lovely girl, a witty and inteLligent girl whose responses to some of my more serious posts were so direct and to the point. You died at such an early age Shona and indeed I miss your company here on FB. Goodnight Shona. R.I.P. Old Tigers Bay FB friend Shirley Cousins, Shirley died suddenly by her own hand, such a tragedy!! Shirley and I enjoyed each others company together here on FB for a long while until a minor falling out. Some will know of what I speak. Shirley was a very outgoing lady with a tremendous sense of humour. Goodnight Shirley, I hope you have found in your passing the peace of mind that eluded you for so long in life. R.I.P. And finally friend Akan Kane, Alan a devout christian who succumed recently to cancer, there were times when Alan and I went head to head about religion as he strong in opinions and I in mine, but we never fell out over it.
