I have probably bugged the shit out of people calling about my job applications. I will be hired. I still want to work with people with developmental disabilities. It is a niche of mine that I feel really at home with. I know that we shouldnt objectify them or define by their disability, but I think theyre empowered in a way we cant even begin to fathom. These people are generally very straight forward about what they want. They are very genuine. I love this about them. If they like you, you know it. If they dislike you, you know it. They have inspired me to have a very important philosophical discourse within myself. Happiness is relative to your experience or lack thereof. What a soda can do for one person, a fat bank account can do for another. Its the small things that count.
