I have read all these Threads and find them sickening. If this person claimed insanity, he might have been given life in prison with no parole, with the right doctors... This individual was a Viet Nam Veteran with mental disorders due to combat stress and strain. I am not trying to make excuses, however if you have never experienced it, you have no clue as to what it can do to your ability to cope with reality or normal responses to situations that you are posed with. Now we all agree that what happened was horrible and unacceptable behavior. But this guy was no longer normal to our standards!!! The fault in this case was that neither the Military or VA took care of him properly. Lets just pray that incidents like this dont happen again around us again if the government does their job and takes proper care of veterans coming home from battle. Just remember now that we have thousands of soldiers coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan. Do you think they are all okay??? Look out after them and identify the ones that need help!!! You owe them that whether you like it or not!!! And finally, how many of you have served in the military, no less combat??? Thank you for hearing me...
