I have read this and I cant believe that someone who says she is a DOG RESCUER can take this attitude. It doesnt matter where the dogs are they all need our help. The dogs in the perreras are just the same as the dogs in private rescue, all abandoned, and picked up by individuals. Where would these dogs go if there were not places like Perreras. There are not enough private rescues to help all of these dogs. Is Viv Saying that we should just let all the dogs in Perreras DIE. and just concentrate on the little private rescues. I for one cant do that. I cannot stand by and see photos posted of dogs badly injured lying in a perrera without any vet treatment, I HAVE to try to help. Dogs in private rescue get the best of care, the best of vet treatment, the dogs in Perreras DO NOT. I am happy to donate to the private rescues and help post their dogs and even offer cut rate transport at times, but these dogs with the threat of death over their head, and most times if they are not saved by groups like mine and Last Chance and our members, they are KILLED. Yes for some corrupt Perreras it is big business, but as we have seen recently this also happens in private rescue. A DOG IS A DOG AND IT NEEDS OUR HELP AND EVEN MORE SO IF IT HAS A THREAT OF DEATH ON HIS HEAD.
