I have really been enjoying watching First Contact SBS, I think this will encourage people to start to question their perceptions of Aboriginal Australians (as well as other cultures as well) and to educate themselves to understand how people with different cultural and spiritual beliefs are interacting with theyre environment and community. I did find it a little surprising that they failed to mention that one of the characters on this show, Bo-Dene has also played a leading role in the movie Four kinds of love, I think it would have been good to get this background info, rather than just saying that she worked at a supermarket as it would have built a more accurate portrayal of her situation.
