I have really enjoyed watching many of you take the ice bucket challenge and its been such an awesome way to raise awareness for ALS. At the same time, my cousin has been running marathons to raise awareness for Alzheimers....34 so far this year to be exact...he will have run 50 by year end. His mother died of Alzheimers and, like the Ice Bucket Challenge, he is doing his part to find a cure. For those of you that are runners...think about it...Done a marathon? Felt the pain? What if you were doing that every weekend...or in some case, days in row (David ran three back to back marathons in July). So, my cousin hasnt come up with the thing that will make his efforts get noticed and go viral. He just keeps running, doing local tv shows and hoping that people take notice. He has raised a little over $18K so far, but has a long way to go towards his goal of $50K.
