I have really gotten in to the TV show Defiance on the SyFi Channel. This is season two and I look forward to every episode. When this show started last season I had my doubts. The special effects were cheesy, the writing not that good, and the overall look was smelling of small budget production. By the end of the first season, things did seem to improve slightly. But not enough for me to think any better of it. I stayed with it purely because of a few of the characters. When the season finale was over, I really thought that would be the end in spite of its semi cliff-hanger ending. I figured they would pull the plug on the show. I was very wrong. Not only is it back, but it no longer reeks of cheap production. On the contrary, it looks very slick now with decent special effects and certainly better writing and story lines. The characters are even more intriguing. I highly recommend the show, but it goes without saying if you arent a sci-fi fan, you probably wont like it or maybe even understand it. Also, it would help to watch season one (available online) so you understand the entire premise of the show.
