I have really stayed out of this on here because many are rightly so emotional and upset that this young man was killed. I do not and never will understand why Zimmerman did what he did, even if it was self-defense, he went too far. This beautiful young man is lost to his family and friends and that is a crime. I do not think Zimmerman is not guilty however I do believe that the prosecution did not meet their burden of proving beyond a reasonable doubt that Trayvon Martin was murdered, with malice. I wish there had been what they are calling a "compromised" verdict and Zimmerman had been at least found guilty on one of the lesser charges just to show some type of justice to the family but I understand why the jury voted this way. The prosecution dropped the ball here and if anyone is to blame for what happened today in that courtroom it is them! God will have His justice on Zimmerman and I pray for the Martin family that they trust in that and try not to let this poison the rest of their lives! Remembering their son for the bright light he was in their lives and try to put this horrific chapter behind them and focus on their family and the future, and try to find some peace. I realize this may be too naive a sentiment for some but I think one of the worst things they could do would be to allow hate and vengeance to take over their hearts. I pray for healing for them.
