I have received a lot of messages from fans and friends asking what Hot Rod Cowboys is all about. Well, in a nutshell, HRC is three guys who love to play good old fashioned, balls-to-the-wall, hard edged, bluesy, rock n roll. Bill Nelson, Michael DeLuco and I have played together in several bands over the last 20 years or so. When the three of us started playing together a few years back, there was instant chemistry. So for this time around, we hope to feed off of that chemistry and create a sound that is both new and familiar. This is what I call redefining the power trio. It is a lean, no nonsense approach to instrumentation. ....guitar, bass and drums. We will play songs you know and love but we will also throw in some nice surprises. So what does HRC sound like? Imagine a blend of ZZ Top, Robin Trower, Pat Travers and Mahogany Rush with a sprinkling of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Motorhead. An explosive mixture for sure.... I hope you all get a chance to hear Hot Rod Cowboys. We will only do this a few times this year so we hope to make each show a major event :)
