I have received many, many, many wonderful messages from around the world since the time I put up the post on my Masi. Fact is, she has given up. And when you reach that point, it is hard to carry on because your spirit is broken. The legal battles have been 5 painful years of her life and she does not wish to fight any more. As we go over options, which are supremely limited at the moment Ekta Sachdev offers me a suggestion I hadnt even thought of. Her words: Maybe you could consider a lovely elder care home for your Masi...she could have a chance at some peace and happiness amidst some good people. I know, we should fight...but really is it worth her smile? Ektas question has made me pause. It has made me think...a lot... Really is it worth her smile? Will the next 5 years be worth Masis life? If life allows her that much to begin with...so I am going to take Ektas suggestion seriously. Masi is in Chandigarh. She has spent much of her life there. If you know any nice places in and around Chandigarh, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate that. I just want her to be happy...much as we are being told we should fight on...but really it hasnt been worth the battle. Masi is already a shadow of her former supremely happy self. Theyve taken the wind out of her wings - these court rounds, these dates, these papers. And if we start all over again, I dont know when it will all end and how...
