I have received numerous messages from sisters and brothers in the movement (members and non members of Left Unity) about about my Suspension from membership. In these circumstances the disciplinary processes as usual stipulate confidentiality and specify refraining from discussing the investigation with anyone especially on social media. Well, I consider that to be a load of bollox. That said the way the process is working so far in Left Unity is a million times more fair and reasonable than my previous treatment sat the hands of Socialist Act Ion the Labour Party or the Green Party. Anyway, this is the post that triggered the complaint from LU National Secretary Kate Hudson that lead to my suspension. It is bad enough that both the LU NC and DC failed to recognise the destructive nature of the Split organised against the wishes of the majority of LU members in Scotland that led to the formation of a tiny unrepresentative sect like Glasgow South Branch, but for Tom to censure Joes comments is simply pandering to Unionist bullying. There are some other worrying developments that further threaten the credibility of Left Unity as a democratic organisation.
