I have received several emails but this one is gravely disheartening. IS THIS HOW MUNYA IS MAKING MERU GREAT??? I wish to draw your attention to some apparent discrimination of professionals from Imenti subgroup in the allocation of jobs. The county is even blocking transfers of people of Imenti origins while facilitating those of pple from the Governors place. This applies to staff of the devolved units particularly health workers. I particularly have been a victim and despite having the requisite qualifications and experience in the position I had applied,I was denied a job.My spouses attempt to move from K****(Name withheld) county to Meru county have been frustrated by the county public service board. My attempts to move from S***** (Name withheld) county have also been fruit less. Counties like Kiambu and Samburu are actively seeking their professionals and encouraging them to relocate home. I hold a senior management position in X***** county in the department of health but discrimination and hostility has made it untenable to continue holding onto the position but my attempt to transfer my services to Meru county have been frustrated. While other counties are accepting their staff from other counties,my home county is doing the opposite.... Blocking attempts by those who want to go home. As we speak, the county public service board is sitting on numerous requests for transfers for almost 8 months with the standard response being the cpsb has not met to deliberate on the transfer requests. My qns are,do they ever meet? Why are they blocking transfers of staff into the county knowing that by the end of transition period 2016,Intercounty transfers will be almost impossible? Will I then be condemned to a life of working in a hardship area?I feel rejected by my home county... Mistreated for no fault other than my origins.. Retrogressive politics! This is serious.
