I have recent;y been hospitalized in our Quesnel hospital, - TopicsExpress

I have recent;y been hospitalized in our Quesnel hospital, transfered to PG hospital, transfered back and then signed myself out of care. I have had excellent care all around until the point of time I signed myself out. It is unfortunate that my hospital stay had to be over Christmas away from my family. That sucked but I accepted it. I even accepted the fact that Christmas day was spent in a city where there were no family or friends there to celebrate with me. At this time my family suffered two very tragic deaths. I had to grieve alone. I was then put in a room that was next to an elderly man suffering from severe dementia. This was a man that was a very good family friend and much respected my myself. this was the final straw for me This same year I lost my husband to dementia and I just couldnt handle anything more My WTF is the doctors attitude when I asked to be released into an out patient status in order to continue my care. This is somthing that I have had done before for my chronic condition. The doctor would not even talk to me about it. He would not listen to what was happening, His comments were that I would only strain the system more than I already was. Her refused to even write a prescription for the meds I would need to continue my care. His attitude did not make stay in the hospital. Quite the opposite. I have never felt so alone and uncared for than I did at that moment. i am home now where I am getting my rest and am able to be with my support network, my family and loved ones during this grieving time. WTF Doc?!!! Way to go showing your understanding and standard of humanity!
