I have recently been strongly reminded Why I left the Organization. The self-hate, misplaced guilt over abuse perpetrated by an elder, the lack of self worth, any viable identity outside the religion... my list could go on. What they all break down to for me is Love or the lack thereof. How is it that a religion that purports itself to be worshipers of a God of Love can foster and stimulate so much hate within its own members? How can They believe that such a God would want or need his followers to hate themselves in order to serve him in an approved manner? In the remembrance of a time when so many of Us were lacking in Authentic Love for others or for ourselves, in remembrance of all the pain we have felt in the name of love, please Show your family, your friends, and your fellow survivors what Love means to you.
