I have recently completed my research on the nuclear fuel cycle and the targeting of impoverished minority communities for radioactive disposal sites and facilities as well as the history of Uranium mining on native lands, leaving as many as 10,400 some abandoned Uranium mines and dump sites in the four corners area alone. While all my classes have had their unique difficulties, my NAP Native American Perspective class has by far been the most ethically and emotionally challenging. I can feel my heart breaking and anger well up in my core when reading and speaking to people of the ecological terrorism. Its been an eye opening but depressing class. I have shame in my heart for being such an integral part of such a dehumanizing, suicidal, pathological, un-sustainable system. I feel there is an entire bio-genic society backed by a thousand prophets tearing their way to the surface from my inner most core. Time to go play some music.
