I have refrained from commenting directly about Sen. Millars - TopicsExpress

I have refrained from commenting directly about Sen. Millars Facebook post that has inflamed emotions, and rightly so. This is a perfect example of a politician, in this instance a Republican, of using sound bites to further a political agenda. There were plenty of opportunities to say something along the lines of, We welcome more voters taking part in the process to elect leaders across the state. Here are the 3 reasons why voters should consider voting for Republicans and re-electing Gov. Deal and voting for David Purdue for US Senate: 1. 2. 3. Or perhaps . . It is disappointing that voters in North DeKalb wont have the same access to Sunday voting as others, considering that we now have a special election to fill a vacant seat as a result of the disappointing and illegal behaviour of former Commissioner Elaine Boyer. We welcome the opportunity to encourage folks to vote and look for the same opportunities in North DeKalb. But no, we had to target a specific race and use ignorant language such as educated voters. No wonder the Republicans in the state and country are losing support left and right. Sad . . so very sad.
