I have ridden the roller-coaster from elation to frustration to distress to sorrow. There is a Christmas album from the 50s I grew up with. I have been trying to find it for YEARS. Three years ago I located it on Amazon; it was $299 for the CD. I suspect the CDs were bootlegged by someone making them from their album because if they had been manufactured the search wouldnt have taken me almost 30 years and the cost wouldnt be that insane. So I kept searching. I can find it on Amazon today, for $99.99. Again ... insane. THEN ... and I dont know how I managed this ... I found it on Amazon.co.uk for 7.99 (okay that is about $13 US), in download, Mp3 format. I had to call my bank so they could call my credit card company so they could authorize the purchase. In the meantime I just kept putzing about and I found it on ITunes, Canada for $4.99 ... so I called my bank to call my credit card to authorize the Canada purchase. But ITunes Canada will NOT allow people in the US to purchase the music, so I had to call the bank call the credit card to, once again, authorize the Amazon.co.uk purchase. But Amazon.co.uk wont allow me to make the purchase because I do not have a valid County to enter ... so I contacted Amazon chat ... and they said I had to contact the chat at Amazon.co.uk to ask for help. But ... and Ive no clue why, there IS NO CHAT at Amazon.co.uk ... there is only e-mail or phone. I cant use my phone for international ... so e-mail it is. And now I WAIT. If I cant make this purchase today ... I have to go through the whole authorization thing again tomorrow. What I TRULY do NOT understand is ... why is an album that is $100 here in the US, and ONLY available through Amazon ... why is that same album only $5 in Canada and $7.99 in the UK? It makes ZERO sense to me. I managed to find one of the songs on Youtube. When I heard it I just started crying ... because ... when I was a kid, this was my FAVORITE of our Christmas Albums ... and I havent heard this song since my mom died, in 1990. here it is... . https://youtube/watch?v=XnETNSODMbg
