I have said it before, the bad part of baseball is the parents, they ruin it for everybody, espically for there own child. Im umpiring a tournament in Brick yesterday, the team from Patterson, (enough said, I could end it here) a 12 year old player is caught stealing over sliding second base, OUT! Gets to his feet and yells at me and throws his helmet. I should have tossed him there, but didnt, my mistake. Later in the game there is another play, safe! This snot nosed kid comes running from centerfield and starts barking at me, and says you dont know what your doing! YER GONE! I tossed him! Next thing I know his father jumps the fence and is coming at me, Im not backing down from this Dominican clown!! Now I have this father, the coach and this snot nosed kid coming at me. Not only is the kid tossed, the father, and the coach are gone too. The plate umpire grabs the father, and tells him, the police will be called and it is a felony if he touches me. Thank God it was the last inning! I dont know what those Dominicans were saying, Im not up on my Spainish, Im sure they werent saying good game! I love my job, but just dont understand ASSHOLE PARENTS! And of course Im ALWAYS going to get the last word in.....I can see where your kid gets it from!!!!!!!!!!!
