I have said this for a FACT, the Ghana Football Association has NEVER paid a dime to any nation for any international friendly match the Black Stars have played since 2006. More reason why Ghana have never played any international friendly at home even its against Cape Verde, Gabon or neighbors Togo. All of Ghanas friendly matches have been funded by organizing agents. Cost of accommodation, to hotels to appearance fee, all bills are borne by match agents and the host countries in such cases. The Ghana Black Stars have never been a host to ANY nation on any FIFA International Friendly date. We always are the GUESTS. We have played in over 25 FIFA friendlies under Kwasi Nyantakyi from his first as an acting GFA chairman on Thursday, 18 August 2005 against Senegal in Brentford, UK to the Saudi Arabia to his last against South Korea in Miami. From macth agents like Kentaro (organsers of Ghana-Brazil matches) to Justin Addos JVC, to Mel Goldberg Law (Ghana-England) and a host of other agents and national Associations. Is it not shocking that in December 1999, the GFA accepted an invitation to play the Greek national team in Athens at a total cost of $83,157 to be borne by the Hellenic (Greek) Football Federation. The amount, according to the Greek FA, represented $63,157 in air tickets and $20,000 as appearance fee for Ghana. That was 15 solid years ago. But the current GFA tells Ghanaians that they spent USD$1.5 million on two friendlies against Montenegro and Netherlands before the World Cup. When indeed it was the Netherlands that invited, flew us, accommodated and catered us? When in fact the Montenegro match was reportedly arranged by some Asian agents? What did the GFA buy. Do they imply we paid the KNVB to play Netherlands in Rotterdam? How much did we pay then? And the shocking revelation today at the commission was that the GNPC boss Alex Mould has confirmed that his outfit had sponsored the so called friendlies we purportedly spent $1.5millon Ghana monies on? And as Justice Dzamefe quizzed Mould are you aware that from 2006 all the friendly matches the Black Stars have played have been arranged and sponsored by agents who pay us Mr Mould said My Lord Im shocked. Imagine if we received $90,000 from Greece in 1999, how much does the Black Stars charge for one Friendly. The Nigeria FA charged Colombia $350,000 for one friendly in 2012 so how much do we charge. Where does the friendly matches monies go? From the Saudi Arabia Riya, to the Japanese Yeng, to the Iranian oil monies? Are some people using the GHANA Black Stars as a milking cow at the expense of the players and the entire Ghanaian populace? We wait at the COMMISSION!!
