I have said this for awhile! Disavowing Marxists who buy into some class warfare (even though Marxism transformed from a movement of workers into one of more upper-class students and intellectuals who claim to speak for the poor), I also disavow the Corporate apologists who assert we have to place the rich on a pedestal and look up to them as the place we want to be (coveting what they have, thinking they are some benevolent people who benefit all of us through this scam of trickle-down economics). Rather, I hold to a consistent anti-Statist, pro-free-market, left-libertarian perspective that recognizes this: the elites who happen to be the super-wealthy elite (NOT everyone who simply has a little money, it has more to do with HOW they earned their money) get the poor workers to see the middle class as their obstacle to advancement. And they get the middle class to see the poor workers as lower class and to fear exaggerated levels of crime (thus consenting to even more Police State legislation and giving up liberty for the sake of security).
