I have seen all the posts from people saying how important - TopicsExpress

I have seen all the posts from people saying how important Remembrance Day has now become and that they are wearing a poppy to support our Veterans. I am thrilled to see this. But for me, I have done this all my life. My Dad was a Vet from WW II and landed at D-Day. For me and my family wearing a poppy and remembering the fallen has never been an option, we got to live through what we now know was my Dads PTSD because of the atrocities that he saw as a teenager fighting for the freedom of this country. On November 11th I will do what I have done for many years, take my Mom to the Legion cenotaph so we can remember what he did. Sadly, this is likely the last year that I will have the privilege of doing this with her so it is particularly special. I ask all of you to find the time on the 100th anniversary of WW I to take a moment and thank the ones that have made the ultimate sacrifice. If you go to a Legion and see a Vet young or old, sit with them and thank them for their service.
