I have seen quite a lot of lost pets in just the last few months especially dogs. Please be responsible pet owners (I am not saying anyone is a bad pet owner if they lose their pet so please do NOT take this as an attack on anyone)and walk your dogs on a lease or have a fenced area that they can roam. I know some dogs do escape and that is understandable on a small scale but many of these situations can be avoided. It is sad to hear of pets getting hit by cars, shot and hurt in other ways and for families to have to explain to young children what happened to their pets. Dogs should not be allowed to run anywhere they want because it could be someone elses property or they could do damage to other peoples pets that are properly restrained, get hit by cars or run in packs and let alone poop in others yards. I am thankful our community has been so helpful in finding so many beloved pets now lets educate on how to keep them even safer.
