I have seen some talk of Meccano on here but not much reference to Lego. As a girl it held no interest for me as a child (it was all skipping ropes and Tiny Tears for me) and my big brother was mechanically minded so it was Meccano for him. My question is, was Lego as popular, way back when, as it is today. I ask as a mother of two boys, who possess almost as much Lego as Lego land itself. Well, perhaps not quite as much but it sure feels like it when I have to put it all away !. Over the years I have bought them everything from single Lego figures right up to Helms Deep (Lord of the Rings). The latest purchase (just waiting for delivery) is a Lego Sherlock Holmes. So who had it back then, and whose children/grandchildren have it now? Here is Sparkle Child modelling his Lego Specs :-)
