I have seen the waves hit the shore many a times and sweep the impurities away with it and just like that some days have hit me more than ever. And like those storms at sea I find myself bending on my knees, choked with emotion pleading for Your forgiveness and dealing with the burden of all that I have done to me. And whilst I was certain of Your forgiving nature, I was weary of this acceptance. Knowing full well when I become weak I just may revert back to being an imposter. But know for that moment, like a ship lost at sea- I was sincere when I asked for a map of guidance and when I hit the treasure chest I became ungrateful and forgot how and what saved me and took me there. That is why I ask You to not just forgive my past, but to be easy on me on what I will come to do. You remember and you know upon a thousand times I went back on my word when the grass was greener; My Lord I am weak and I forgot and I have failed and I ask you though I am not deserving to guide me as when I was on the verge of sinking it is You who kept me afloat, keep my heart firm upon Your deen and do not allow me to deviate once you have guided me; You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and surely no aid can be found except with You.
