I have seen tons of movies on the theme of patriotism, nationalism, Indian freedom, British Raj and all. Watched Gandhi and it was beautiful. Lagaan (though fiction) was good. Similarly many others. But the movie that stands way ahead of others is the movie that I finished watching today (had been watching it in chunks) - Jinnah. The movie does an amazing job in touching the key issues related to the formation of Pakistan and associated events. It is a must watch. It will go a long way clearing your doubts on creation of Pakistan answering many whys. Take some time and watch the 1 hour 40 minute long movie.
