I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Dearly beloved, Everyone in this world desires to live a successful life. The Bible assures that we can live a victorious life. Lord Jesus has said, "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne” (Revelation 3:21). True to this, we see that the people of God like Joseph, Daniel, Esther and the like lived a victorious life on this earth. Like them, there would be a day when we too would complete living a victorious life in this world and sit with the Lord on the throne. How should we live in order to receive this blessing? The Bible says, “The righteous stand firm forever” (Proverbs 10:25). It also says, “He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock…it was well built” (Luke 6:48). Jacob had twelve sons and Joseph was one of them. This Joseph loved the Lord dearly just as how he loved his father. The Lord too was with him (Genesis 39:2,21,23). In my life, I too accepted the Lord as my foundation when I was 16 years old. Previously, my parents were my priority and I placed the Lord next to them. I did not think much about Lord Jesus. At that time, I had to join a hostel for the sake of my studies. Only then I came to know how horrible loneliness could be. One day, I was sitting alone in my room and crying. That time, I saw a bright light in my room. Yes, Lord Jesus Christ came into my room and His divine love surged through me. Since then, He alone is my best friend. The Lord says, "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people" (II Corinthians 6:16,18). Accordingly, when you seek Him diligently, you too will receive the same blessing. When my son Paul was in his days of youth, he had a lot of friends. But when he accepted Lord Jesus Christ as his own Saviour at the age of 17, He alone became his best friend. Yes, the people or friends of this world will be good towards us for a day or so. Then they will forget us. This is human love. But when you have the love of the Lord Jesus as your foundation, He will be with you and prosper you. The Lord Jesus said, ‘"I and My Father are one."(John 10:30). Likewise, He wants you also to be with Him. My dear children, you should have Lord Jesus as your foundation and be one with Him (I Corinthians 1:9). Perhaps you are troubled saying, “Oh, I’m not worthy; I’m not educated much; I’m not good in learning; how can I live a pleasing life to the Lord?” Look at the disciples of Lord (Luke 5:1-11). The Lord went in search of ordinary fishermen. They toiled all night to catch fish and caught nothing; so in dejection, they were washing their nets. Fully aware of their empty state, He went in search of them so as to bless them. Yes, the Lord knows even your heart and needs. So if you get united with Him, the strong foundation, you shall not be moved. David writes about his wonderful experience in Psalm 16:8: “I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” Look to the Lord for His help and guidance. He will always stand beside you and strengthen you. Then nothing can shake you. You shall become an overcomer. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, I seek You diligently. I look to You for help and guidance. Please fill me with your presence. Comfort me with your divine love. Strengthen me by your divine grace. Make me an overcomer. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen.
