I have shared the stage with Nick for 7 years of my life. We have traveled the country together, shared dreams, we basically went through it all. So, it bums me out to have to type this, but it’s only fair to you guys to hear both sides to this story. If you havent seen it yet, Nick already shared his side on his personal FB page. This last summer, Nick made the decision to have a child with his fiancée. At that point in time, we agreed that it was going to be a huge challenge for Nick to juggle fatherhood and the struggles of being in a young band but we would give it a try. If anyone knows anything about being in a young band, it is very time consuming and you dont make any money. Actually, at the beginning, you lose money. Anyway, as time went on the guys and I saw Nick losing motivation and his passion for lionfight and the communication between him and the rest of the band started to become nonexistent. We were rapidly losing the feeling of unity that a band should have, and we just weren’t happy anymore with the situation. Not only did he lose inspiration to write lyrics, record, or even show up to practice...he couldnt afford to hold up his end to help support lionfight financially or socially. So…yesterday I saw Nick face to face and told him how I felt about his absence with lionfight. We agreed mutually on everything, and he said its time for me to focus on my family.” Which is the honorable and respectable thing to do. Bryan, Peter & I dont have a family to love or feel love from. So, lionfight is our child that we love and our fans/friends keep us going. Anyway, our manager said to focus on the tour and not announce the departure just yet. Thats why if you see below our Facebook, you read the message about “Family Circumstances.” We weren’t lying to you and we’re not trying to mislead you. Plain and simple, Nick needed to choose his family and being a father over the demands of being a member in lionfight. Both are very demanding and he was not able to successfully juggle both. Now, it is time for Bryan, Peter and I to focus our time and energy on the freaks…our family. After this tour that were going to have to makeshift a line up for, we will tryout and lock in the new band member and get some new music out to you asap!
