I have shared with some but not all so far. On Sunday after having a mild seizure Celeste Alvarez was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She has spent years not feeling well and I have chased many avenues of treatment along the way. Always coming down to GI issues but no real answers. The headaches were never a frequent complaint and has always been associated with the frequent vomiting, nausea and dehydration. Never did I know the head was causing the problems and until Sunday there was no sign to perform a scan on her brain. She will be going in for surgery at 1pm today to attempt removal of the tumor and they will have an idea of type and begin testing the tissue. Its going to be a long road to recovery, but We are in good hands here at Loma linda PICU and I have faith in my little warrior princess! It is believed that she has had this brain tumor for years and to think of her determination and accomplishments so far gives me a lot of faith that she will fight and recover! We appreciate everyones support and show of care during this difficult time and I will post updates! Thank you to everyone who is helping with meals and sending thoughtful messages..it helps more than you know! When you see my kids please dont pity but embrace them and remind them how strong they are! We will overcome this and with good people and Gods graces find the strength in our weakest moments.
