I have silently observed things in the lives of believers, i have noticed the waves of the gospel of i can do all things through Christ that strengthens me even in holiness and non-holiness circles, pentecostals, charismatic etc, BUT i will want to differ a bit, there is a need to understand the principle of the ressurected life and what the New Covenant life is all about and that in the New life All things are out from God 2cor5:18. Understanding the inward work of death to the old life( even good, positive, well intentioned old life) and ressurection to a new life. You cannot bring anything,idea, thoughts, intentions, work,plans that originates frm the realm of the natural life( no matter how glorious it is) and say i can do all these things through Christ that strengthens me. God has laid embargo on anything that comes from the natural life not even evil things now, but good,positive well intentioned things that do not originate from the Spirit of God but originated from man as man. Now i say we CANNOT do all things through Christ that strengthen us, we can only do ALL THINGS that Christ wants us to do through Him that strengthens us. You cannot setup a plan that originate from your natural man and set a seal of scripture on it that you can do all things through Christ. We can ONLY do all things that Christ wants us to do in his determinate counsel. And this lesson is hard for us to learn and have not seen any Church leader telling us this. We can only do ALL things that Christ want us to do and NOT all things we choose to do ourself and from ourself and claiming that Christ will strengthen you to do it. That is why many of us are experiencing failures in somethings we set out to do, because the idea to do it only came from you as you in your natural self and you are trying to use Christ to acheive it, it will not work( that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit). It is ONLY what God has determined for us to do that we will do and achieve maximum impact and it is that that Christ will strengthen us to do and not what you choose to do as out from your ownself. Jesus never heal everybody he came in contact with, in matthew 26:6, we are told of simeon the leper that Christ ate in his house 6days to the passover, he was never healed because it was never in Gods determinate counsel for CHRIST to heal that man at the time. And you know that jesus said what i see my father do, that i do, i can of my own self do nothing. There are silent principles to glean here and this should give a check to all this STUPID faith preaching and miracles at all cost. Because God wants us to learn this, thats why you see that times without number so called anointed men of God with healing gifts has prayed for some people and they never got healed, from the kumuyis, to the oyedepos,adeboye, hagin, etc. Why? why?? why??? because You can only do things, heal disease that God has determined you will heal. Even most preachers have not learnt this, they hide under the canopy that is because the person do not have enough faith. Thats not the truth, it is because the healing of that person is never tied to them and in Gods determinate counsel they were not to be the one to heal that person, no matter the level of faith they claim to waiver. It is a HARD LESSON to learn but that is how God keep things in check and to make sure that all things are out from God. This is not stream lined only to spiritual things but also to every area of our life as new covenant Christian. The job, the business idea, the plans, the marriage, work, Christ can only strengthen you to do it when it is actually what he wants you to do and not what you choose to do. Thats why in d new creation is not a time for hurry, hurry, you must be sure of what God wants you to do, the business to start, the work to do, the plans to follow. Thats why paul said in col 1:29 to this end I LABOUR, struggling with all his( Christ) energy, which so powerfully works in me. The reason why paul could use the energy of Christ maximally is because he used it in EXACTLY what God wants him to do and not what he choose to do. Thats why he can write, i can do all things( that God wants me to do/ determined for me to do) through Christ that strengthens me. God can only place his seal upon that which originates from Him. So let me ask: all your plans,dreams, ambitions, work, ideas do they originate from your natural self or it was by the Spirit of God dropping it in your mind. Watchman nee said God is the greatest ORIGINATOR on earth and the HolySpirit is the greatest INITIATOR on earth. Therefore i submit that we CANNOT do all things through Christ that strenghten us, We can ONLY do ALL THINGS that Christ wants us to do through Him that strengthen us and NOT what we choose to do by ourself emanating from our own natural life no matter how wonderful it is. This is a trying truth.
